Over the years we have served the Houston food bank, HAAM, Arbor Terrace, and Texas Children’s Hospital. However, more recently, we have all felt pulled to specifically develop a program that is dedicated to serving the Youth in our community and helping them to develop the skills they need to succeed once they have graduated from high school. She believes it is important for the young people in her community to have an outlet for service and advancement. Many of Lake Houston Outreach’s service events are designed to be accessible to supporters of all ages. Professionally, Andrea is a Certified Public Accountant and is the Director of Federal Income Tax at Service Corporation International, but the roles she loves most are at home, wife to Jonathan and mom to Aubrey and Samantha. Her favorite pastimes are traveling with her family, reading, cooking with her kids and playing taxi-driver/cheerleader for her girls’ many activities! A proud alumna of Southern Utah University, Britany earned her undergraduate degree on a Speech and Debate Scholarship, showcasing her passion for communication and civic engagement. Britany began her career as a U.S. History and Government teacher in Utah before relocating to Texas, where she expanded her expertise to include World Geography, AP American Government, credit recovery summer school, and the Grad Night School program. Her dedication to educational excellence led her to become a Social Studies instructional coach, a role in which she mentored teachers and enhanced curriculum delivery. Inspired by her commitment to serving the whole child, Britany pursued a master’s degree in School Counseling. She is now in her seventh year as a school counselor, having worked at both elementary and secondary schools. Britany proudly describes school counseling as "the best job on earth," where she combines her passion for student well-being with her deep understanding of education. Outside of her professional life, Britany cherishes her family. She is the loving wife of Lair Crawford and the proud bonus mom of Tommy and Hayden Crawford. She enjoys spending time with her family and their pets, including two dogs, Rylie and Remy, and a therapy rabbit named Mushu. Her journey began after earning her doctorate in 2001 from Belmont University, where she discovered her passion for pediatrics. Beth’s commitment led her to diverse communities in Houston, where she empowered countless children and families. Throughout her career, Beth has worked in various settings, from sensory integration clinics to home health and outpatient care. As a natural leader and mentor, she has supervised large teams of therapists and directed clinical teams. Her expertise extends to teaching numerous continuing education courses. Currently, Beth serves as the North Houston Division Director for Therapy 2000, where she introduces Houston families to the T2K difference. When she’s not caring for kiddos, she’s a proud wife and mother, cheering on her own all-star kids Lee and Addison in their academic and sports pursuits. Beth’s impact in the Houston community goes beyond therapy. As the Treasurer for Lake Houston Outreach, she manages resources to support the mission of helping those in need. Whether seeking sponsorships, grants, or strategizing fundraising efforts, Beth is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. Her involvement doesn’t stop there. Beth has taught Sunday school to elementary-aged kids, guiding young minds, and fostering a love for learning. On Sundays, you might find her lending her voice to the praise and worship team at Lake Houston UMC, where music connects people on their spiritual journey. Recently, Beth helped to create a pediatric networking group called Networking for Kids focused on connecting healthcare providers who serve the pediatric population. Their inaugural meeting in early 2023 was a huge success with over 60 providers in attendance. The mission of the group is to share resources to help as many children as possible find the care that they need. Beth’s passion extends to educating those outside of healthcare, and she has presented on using sensory input to enhance learning outcomes in infant, preschool, and elementary-aged children. Her commitment to community and education continues to inspire those around her. So, whether she’s leading, singing praises, or advocating for better education, Beth is driven by a desire to create positive change. Megan and her husband, Eric, opened their franchise of Kanga’s in February 2023. Eric and Megan work as a team to manage the day to day operations but Megan’s main focus is community involvement, marketing, and special events. Since moving to Atascocita, Megan’s involvement in the community has always revolved around families – teaching preschool at a local mothers day out and also serving on staff at their local church. Serving the local church has always been a high priority in Megan’s adulthood and includes involvement in Women’s Ministry, disaster relief following Harvey, serving as directors of their Bible Study Class for many years and also teaching in the preschool. As a mother of 2, soon to be 3, Megan is deeply invested in creating a better future for her children and the community they grow up in. This parental perspective drives her commitment to initiatives that support families, children’s education and community wellbeing. Whether it’s through her involvement in educational programs, community events or business ventures like Kanga’s, her goal is to create spaces and opportunities where families can thrive and feel supported. Despite loving her career in the fields of Physical Therapy, Megan didn’t think her way of life was working the way she wanted. Something needed to change. She had a full-time career with one of Lake Houston’s premier physical therapy clinics, four energetic, engaged children and a spouse who traveled every week. The biggest challenge in her career was walking away from it. While placing her Physical Therapy career on pause, Megan discovered her passion for serving her community through Lake Houston Outreach, Project Mammogram, Humble ISD PTA volunteer opportunities and Humble ISD education foundation grant reviewer. Megan met her husband, Keith, when they were sophomores at Kingwood High School. They have been together ever since, married in 2007, parents of Austin, 15; Abby, 12; Ava, 7; and Audrey, 4. Spending time with her family is her favorite thing in life to do.
